Thank you so much for helping out HPPK by parent teaching, working your support jobs, helping at the work parties, and attending the upcoming school auction. Everyone’s hard work and support makes this school a great community.
In addition, here are some easy ways that you can help the school make ends meet this year.
Many area companies have programs that generously donate money to charities and schools based on volunteer time. Parent teaching in the classroom, work parties, helping at the auction, and time you spend helping out the school as part of your support job all may count as volunteer time. If your company has a volunteer grant program, please take a few minutes to record your hours.
Many area companies will double employee donations to nonprofits, including in some cases auction donations. It would be a great help to the school if you ask your employer about any donation matching programs that may exist, and if eligible, submitting match requests.
Lastly, auction donations may be tax deductible. Please save your auction receipt for tax purposes. If you itemize your taxes, you may be able to deduct the Paid Above Value portion of any auction donations from your taxes in April.
